HSU Police Department Ensures Campus Safety

The mission of Hardin-Simmons University police officers is to “ensure a safe and secure environment on the University campus through active and vigilant patrol of all parts of the University including all roadways, walkways, parking lots, athletic fields, academic and administrative buildings, and when required, residence halls and facilities.”

Recent HSU graduate, Emily Pierce has been accepted into the Critical Care Nurse Residency Program at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.

Recent HSU graduate, Emily Pierce has been accepted into Cook Children’s Medical Center’s Critical Care Nurse Residency Program in Fort Worth. Pierce received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and is studying to take the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-RN) that will give her the certification to be a registered nurse (RN).

Hardin-Simmons University’s department of Student Life hosted its annual Emerging Leaders Conference on Monday, March 30. Because of the recent transition to online learning, this year’s conference was transformed from an in-person, two-day event to five one hour long video conferences.

Each spring, thousands of Big Country students travel to the Hardin-Simmons University campus to experience what life may have been like on the western frontier in the 1880s. Since the initial campfire and cookout event in 1982, Western Heritage Day has educated and entertained students and visitors of all ages.
